My Story
I’m Marko Orčić ( Or-chich ) and I live in a small town of Subotica, Serbia. I got involved with blockchain in 2017 while at the time working as a full-time graphic designer at a local tech company. I started out with mining cryptocurrencies but that quickly evolved into active community participation, particularly with Horizen (formerly ZenCash). I volunteered and contributed with my design work and that caught the team's attention, leading to a full-time role in 2018 and marking my permanent transition into Web3. I wore multiple hats with the projects I worked with. Graphic designer, animator, video editor and ultimately UX / UI designer and researcher. Today my primary role and expertise is UX / UI design and user and product research. When I'm not immersed in my digital work, you'll find me either in my workshop or out running. I started running for the physical health benefits but I continue to do it for the mental health benefits. The discipline and endurance required for running marathons I think translates well into all aspects of your life. My workshop is my other sanctuary. What began as simple home repairs has became a love for woodworking.
Although my greatest joy comes from the time I spend with my wife Vlatka and our baby daughter Tara.
